Nothingness is a simple meditation tool with a meaningful purpose: to improve your daily life by helping to track your Thought Rate™ during mindfulness meditation. The unique capabilities of the mobile platform have made Thought Rate™ tracking easier than ever before. We believe in the effectiveness of mindfulness meditation and the power of technology. As a result, we decided to bring the two together in a simple and beautiful way with this app and share it with you.
HOW TO USE THE APP
To get started, find a comfortable place to sit, preferably on the ground cross-legged, or at a table with your feet flat on the floor in front of you. Place your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch within comfortable grasp on the ground or table top. Then,
1. SET THE AMOUNT OF TIME you wish to meditate by pressing + to add a minute, and - to subtract. Then its time to begin. For beginners, dont close your eyes entirely; rather, look at about a 45 degree angle up from the floor. Focus on your breathing. Inhale through your nose, and softly exhale out your mouth.
2. GENTLY TAP THE SCREEN EVERY TIME YOU HAVE A THOUGHT. When this occurs, identify your thought as being just a thought, then simply refocus on your breathing to bring you back into the present moment. Again, inhale through your nose, and gently exhale out your mouth.
3. TRACK YOUR THOUGHT RATE™ in the Meditation Log to see your progress day after day. The lower your Thought Rate™ (i.e. the more consecutive green arrows), the greater your improvement.
Nothingness is great for beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level meditators. We recommend finding 10 minutes during your day to meditate. For beginners, start with one minute just to try it out. Nothingness allows you to meditate for up to 60 minutes at a time.
PRIVACY & DISCLAIMER NOTICE: Nothingness is 100% private. You may share your meditation sessions only if you wish to. We do not track, store, or sell any of your personal data. Although Nothingness cannot learn mindfulness meditation for you, it can help you on your journey toward personal enlightenment.
